40 TO 100 MILES OF GLORIOUS WELSH ROADS AND COUNTRYSIDE
Our club route planners have put together 3 superb rides. Aimed at offering something for all abilities, the routes all follow the same course initially, heading out over the Severn Bridge, climbing up from Chepstow to Devauden before descending down to Raglan. At this stage the short route turns back towards Usk whilst the medium and long routes head on to Abergavenny. For those that want a real test the long option heads out from Abergavenny up the 'not for the faint hearted', category 2, Hay Bluff climb!
SHORT ROUTE - 40.8 MI | 2,985 FT
A great option for those of you who are maybe trying their first Sportive - or those who just want to get back to the pub for an early beverage! Don't under estimate the challenge though, the Llangwm Climb out of Usk offers stunning views but is tough on already tired legs.
MEDIUM ROUTE - 58.1 MI | 3,923 FT
For those who want a challenging ride without the punishment of riding 100 miles, the medium route is for you. This route has been designed to deliver an enjoyable balance of distance and elevation, ideal for club riders looking for more than a 40 mile coffee stop loop!
LONG ROUTE - 101.8 MI | 7,114 FT
Taking in the best of what Monmouthshire has to offer the long route has it all and promises to be an epic day out in the saddle. The Boar's Head will seem a long way away when you're scaling the heights of Hay Bluff but the view from the top are well worth the effort.
